Morgan Lamp Base

775

Fabulous base-only an important and sought after John Morgan grape motif table lamp. Morgan's work compared well to other early 20th century arts and crafts era premium lamp companies, such as L.C. Tiffany, Duffner and Kimberly, and Handel.A real and important piece of American Art History.

Raised grape clusters, leaves, and stems on a footed and tapered ovoid form grace this example. Spectacular and original verde patina to a heavy bronze base.

Original three socket cluster, also in verde finish, with original acorn pull chains, all functioning perfectly with that solid "click" that only these high end vintage pieces produce. The finial may not be original--no big issue, but I mention it in full disclosure.

Coupled to the proper shade, this becomes a $4,000 to $8,000 plus lamp. Even matched to a "good" shade it will make for a highly desirable lamp.

I pack well, with much experience shipping high end delicate antiques of this kind.

Dimensions: 24 1/2" tall x 6" diameter at base
